Lead Renovation, Repair & Painting
(1 day course) Why do you need RRP Training?
After April 22, 2010, The EPA requires that restoration work in buildings that potentially contain lead based paint must be performed by RRP Certified Renovators that work for RRP Certified firms. This applies to residential structures and publicly occupied buildings constructed prior to 1978. To become certified, renovators must successfully complete an EPA accredited renovator course. The EPA’s new Renovation, Repair and Painting Final Rule (40 CFR 725) holds renovators to the following criteria:

• Renovation firms must be certified
• Certified and trained workers must be used for any jobs where lead is present in pre-1978 residences.
• Specific work practices must be followed when performing work in buildings built prior to 1978.
• Non-certified workers must work under and be trained on-the-job by a Certified Renovator
• Renovators must educate owners/occupants.

Continuing Education Credits:
IICRC 1 CEC assigned in cleaning/restoration, or inspection, or master categories The RRP course also qualifies certified renovators to work on jobs where lead-safe work practices are required in Federally assisted target housing.

Registration Fees:

$185.00/person

This class is hosted by Abatix Corp in partnership with the accredited RRP provider, The National Center for Healthy Housing (NCHH).

Limited Seating:
We suggest that travel arrangements not be made prior to receiving a faxed confirmation from our office. In the event a course is canceled or postponed, CRA will not be responsible for any costs incurred.

Cancellation Policy:
Written cancellation received at least 10 days prior to class will be subject to a $100/person processing fee. No refund will be granted after 10 days prior to class.
